The Idea
The idea for e-go electric folding bikes was actually born out of the need to find the smallest, lightest and most compact foldable electric bikes to stow away on a boat, the freedom to move around and explore new locations by boat was great but wouldn’t it be fantastic if that freedom could be extended, once on dry land?
After having purchased 2 bikes for the purpose they turned out to be far too heavy and cumbersome and after some extensive research a folding bike was found to perfectly fit the brief. Over the course of the next 6 months and several revisions the e-go Lite was born.
What makes us different?
Our electric folding bikes are small but mighty! We are proud to have not only one of the lightest foldable electric bikes on the market but also one of the cheapest. E-go bikes are smart, reliable and practical – all whilst being as compact as possible. We are also very proud of our customer service, we understand this is a big investment and there are a lot of options on the market so we are more than happy to talk you through the best option for you. We have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response to our electric folding bikes. What was originally a handy piece of kit for a boat owner has transformed into a solution for a huge range of people. As well as boat owners this includes commuters, campers, motorhome owners as well as those who just put it in their car boot for days out. We have even had a pilot purchase two for himself and his wife to stow away in a plane he built himself! Growing Family
Soon after the success of our first e-go foldable electric bikes it became clear to us that there was potential to extend beyond just the one model to suit even more customers. After some more extensive research our range went from just the e-go Lite foldable electric bike to a family of four electric folding bikes bikes to now include Lite+, Max, Max+ and Max+ PRO.
